A premier organization such as the Davidson High School band can not continue down its path of excellence without financial support. Since the Sound of Mobile is an extracurricular organization it gets very little support from the county school board in the way of finances. Most of the support required by our Band is provided by the way of various fundraisers. Every year the Davidson Band Boosters sponsors several opportunities for parents, students, and the community to help with the general band fund which supplies financing for things like instruments, uniforms, music, transportation, contests, drill charts, etc…

There are usually 4 or 5 main fundraisers each year and then some smaller opportunities as well. We have listed below some of our more popular fundraising activities. If you and/or your student is interested in participating in these activities then please contact the appropriate chairperson or talk to the band directors.

Starting in the Spring of each year the Mobile Bay Bears season begins, and the Davidson High School band has a long history of helping this organization in various ways. In the past we have operated the Concessions for Naman’s catering at the stadium. And this year the Bay Bears asked us to run the parking for the games and also man the entertainment areas of the park (Gas Light and the Water park area).

A Davidson High School Band tradition. We have fried and smoked turkey's ready for your Thanksgiving table. The DHS Band has their annual Citrus and Fruit sale around the beginning of December each year. Ordered fruit are usually available in time for the Christmas holidays. . You can order directly through the DHS Band Store  using Pay Pal or your personal credit card. Click on the Door Step Direct for ordering citrus for your customers that may live far away.
